Frequently Asked Questions

List of 4 frequently asked questions.

  • Q: Do you offer an English as a Second Language (ESL) course for international students?

There is no separate ESL track - international students who matriculate at Millbrook must have a fluency in English which permits them to enroll in courses across the curriculum with native English speakers.
  • Q: How do application requirements differ for international students?

The admission process for international students is mostly the same as for domestic students. We also require international applicants, for whom English is not their first language, to take either the TOEFL, IELTS, or DuoLingo test to evaluate their English proficiency. Students who score around 100 on the computerized version of the TOEFL are typically able to handle the rigor of Millbrook’s curriculum.
  • Q: Is an on-campus interview required as part of the application process?

Millbrook strongly encourages all applicants to visit campus as a part of the application process. Prospective students should try to visit campus during the school year. Each campus visit will include an interview with a member of the admission office and a student-guided tour of the campus. Millbrook understands that not all students will be able to visit campus as a part of their application process. Millbrook will continue to offer prospective students opportunities to learn about the school through: virtual interviews, live virtual tours, and virtual events throughout the year.
  • Q: Are international students awarded financial aid?

Yes, but on a limited basis. Applicants should refer to the financial aid process under the Tuition and Financial Aid tab for more information.
