Millbrook earns first win!

Coach Powers
Millbrook wins!  Great matches up and down the ladder show how hard the girls have been working and how far we have come from the start of the season.  Captains Paras Musallam and Natalie Whitman ked the way with straight game wins.  Also winning in three games were Lilly Gooding and Ella Green.  It was Lilly's first ever win in a Squash match!  Nina Hoffman proved her grit in a tough 4 game match.  Tracy He met a hard hitting lefty and fell in straight games.  The match of the day was at #5 where Caroline Hopkins refused to go quietly after falling behind 0-1 and 1-2.  She battled to win the 4th game but lost a nailbiter in the 5th.

We also had great success in the exhibition matches.  Anna Wilson got us started off on the right track with a win, 2-1.  Also winning were Sophie Swift, Precious Esielem, Shea Sevin and Skyler Nguyen who won in straight games.  Caitlyn Rodeo won her first Squash match ever in straight games as well.  While Clara Bent, who went the distance, and Claire Mensch lost their matches, there is much to build on.

It was a great effort by the girls today, but more importantly, I was so proud of how they supported each other in every match.  As Shea Sevin was securing her win during the last match of the day, the whole team was watching and cheering on every point.

Great thanks for K-O for playing twice to allow all 15 members of the Millbrook JV to get a match in today.
