Millbrook meets a challenge with great effort

With good spirits and great sportsmanship, our girls played well against a more seasoned team today. More than half our team played their first competitive match today. Hats off to Sophie Swift and Precious Esielem for securing our two wins of the day! While the other matches did not go our way, there were lots of great points and close games. I seemed to keep on writing 9-11 in the scorecard as the Berkshire girls were able to win the key points. Nonetheless, the growth since the beginning of the year was evident as great depth and effort was seen up and down the ladder. After the match we enjoyed a nice meal together, and I couldn't be more happy with how they supported each other and how they competed today. We look forward to getting back to work next week in advance of our next match at Westminster.
