great game, disappointing outcome

John Siegenthaler
On the first nice afternoon in some time, the team traveled to Greenwich to play the Brunswick Bruins last Wednesday. In a contest of two very evenly matched team, Brunswick survived a late game surge on the part of the Mustangs to earn a victory. The teams traded goals in the first half on strong team play and the score was tied at the half. Brunswick charged out in the second and scored two unanswered goals. Undeterred, Millbrook stormed back. Bouda scored his second to pull us within one. Despite significant pressure from the Mustangs, time ran out on our efforts to get the equalizer. Nevertheless, it was a fine display of great soccer by both teams. Our player of the match was Colman, who kept our back four organized and energetic all afternoon long.
