Millbrook Wins Season Opener at Perkiomen

After a shaky first quarter start that included two fumbles and two turnovers on downs, the Mustang offense found its groove in the second quarter behind rushing touchdowns from QB Kevin Justice, RB Matt Amato and a receiving touchdown by TE Ryan Davis. They headed out of halftime with only a small lead, but widened the gap as the Mustang defense held Perkiomen to only 8 points in the second half, while the offense rolled to score 26 more points. Other statistical highlights included several 20 yard receptions and a 20 yard end-around from WR Jack Feltheimer, and two more touchdowns from Matt Amato and Kevin Justice. Defensive highlights included a timely interception by LB Noah Jensen, a handful of solo tackles by DT Jack Linnartz and LB Ian Devine, and several pass break-ups by CB Sam Smith.
