Millbrook Wins Against Kingswood Oxford, Christian Heritage, South Kent, and Forman.
Coach Meltzer
On an overcast day Wednesday, the Millbrook squad headed to Kingswood-Oxford for a meet that also featured runners from the Christian Heritgae School, South Kent School and Forman School. Overcast skies and a persistent threat of rain colored the race, however showers thankfully held off until after the race. The Millbrook boys went out fast, but stabilized their pacing and pushed hard during this race. The team both won the race, and had first and second place finishers, with Kazuki Unamaya ('18) placing first, and Mateo Winogrand ('19) in second place. Sam Iacavazzi ('18) took 5th place, with Charlie Weisberg ('21) close behind in 7th. Seniors David Nesterov-Rappoport ('18), Chris Wilkins ('18), and Henry Schulz ('18) finished in a tight group, and came in 12th, 13th, and 14th. Chris showed perseverance in the face of a bad cramp; thanks to a kind, compassionate runner from Forman who showed incredible sportsmanship in running with Chris and cheering him on. Yassin Amir ('21) place in 20th. Buzz Galbraith ('18) and Jayden Reeves ('19) finished in succession, in 31st and 32nd places. Fenway Powers ('21) rounded out the Millbrook team's runners, finishing in 41st. Overall, the team gave a strong, heartfelt race in which all pushed hard. Thanks so Kingswood Oxford for hosting the race, and thanks to all the teams for coming out to run!
