A reversal of fortune

The boys traveled to New Milford on Saturday, hoping to continue our winning ways against the Saints of Canterbury. However, both the weather and our fortunes changed. The cold and drizzle were a notable change, as was our demeanor. We were flat from the start and never really hit our stride. Although the holes were off, we managed to hold Canterbury scoreless in the first half and appeared to have a chance of pulling things together in the second. Unfortunately, Canterbury was awarded a penalty kick in the 51st minute which powered them to three unanswered goals. Bouda finally managed to break free of the swarming defense and put one in with about 12 minutes to play. However, a combination of factors, including a red card to our side, prevented any further comeback for the Mustangs. D’Urso played well in his first game back from injury. Seaver and Simons anchored the back corners calmly and skillfully.
