Boys and Girls Varsity Squash Teams Compete in New England's

Millbrook’s boys and girls varsity squash teams both competed in New England Tournaments this past weekend.

The boys varsity team accomplished recognition that no other Millbrook sqaush team has, competing in the A Division Northeastern tournament for the first time in Millbrook’s history. They brought grace and grit to the courts, placing 16 out of 40 schools, finishing ahead of Philips Exeter, Rye Country Day, Westminster, Berkshire, and Salisbury, among other competitive schools.

“The Mustangs played extremely well and hard, with outstanding wins over Groton and Hopkins by VIth formers Henry Rosenberg and Zach Hollander,” said Head Boys Varsity Squash Coach Greg Reiss.

The girls varsity squash team competed in the B Division Northeastern Tournament and placed 26 out of 48 schools, putting them in 10th place overall. Key wins included victories over Berkshire (Olivia Garip-Davies ’17), Rye Country Day (Maggie McManus’ 18), Suffield and Holy Child (Ava Quartararo ’18), and Westminster (Laura Toland ’17).

“The girls played some of their most competitive matches of the season,” said Head Girls Varsity Squash Coach Liza Reiss. “It was a great weekend for our athletes, and I could not be more proud of their efforts.”

Both our boys and girls varsity squash teams had a strong season and represented Millbrook well at their respective New England Tournaments. Go Mustangs!
