Taking on Westy

The Mustangs came out ready to play on Wednesday. From the start of the first, Millbrook was relentless and determined. 5 minutes into the game, Kerry Carr`18 scored from Ellie Muckstadt`18 and Devyn Farrell`20. Westminster was a little taken back by Millbrooks pressure and the first goal but that did not last long. Three minutes later Westy tied it up while on their power play. The rest of the first period was back anf forth with great efforts from both teams. Westy would put one more away before the end of the period. The second period was not Millbrook's finest. Stepping out flat and lacking the needed energy. Westy put two more in the net in the second period making it 4-1 heading into the 3rd. Millbrook snapped out of the haze for the third and put the pressure back on. Plenty of opportunities went both ways but Millbrook was unable to find the back of the net. Westy finished on top 5-1. Millbrook had 10 blocked shots and a strong penalty kill. Kudos to Aria Bowden`18 and Emma Gotthelf `19 for their effort and attitude.
