Instrumental Music Teacher

Millbrook School seeks an instrumental music teacher for the '18-'19 academic year.
The teacher will be responsible for all instrumental music on campus, including courses in performance and composition. Additionally, the instrumental music teacher teaches or coordinates instrumental music lessons and, in collaboration with the vocal music teacher, organizes rehearsals, programming and preparation of musicians and vocalists for school-wide performances. Experience with arranging and command of music theory and conducting are requirements of the position. Familiarity with string instruments and an interest in nurturing a growing string program is helpful. 

The teacher will join a vibrant, highly collaborative arts department, working in the Holbrook Arts Center, where all visual and performing arts are gathered under one roof. Interest in collaboration across the department and continued professional growth as both a teacher and a performing artist is essential.
