After Tahrieq’s tenure at Millbrook, he attended Case Western Reserve University and Kent State University to earn a degree in aerospace engineering. While in college, Tahrieq interned for Dominion Energy, an energy service producer and provider located in 17 states. Dominion, a Fortune 500 company, is a national leader in clean and renewable energy. Tahrieq served as both an aviation & unmanned aerial systems intern and a renewable natural gas development intern before being hired full-time as a gas account manager. He became the in-house subject matter expert on everything related to renewable energy. He focused and worked with large accounts valued at approximately $8-10 million in revenue to incorporate sustainable and renewable energy sources, those that were technologically and economically feasible. Tahrieq is particularly well-versed in the world of hydrogen fuel cell transportation and renewable natural gas and their interconnection to make the natural gas industry more sustainable.
Tahrieq left Dominion Energy in December 2022 and is currently pursuing a career in firefighting/EMS. He is also currently the executive director of Be The Change Venture 501(c)(3), a nonprofit in Northeast Ohio, particularly in the Cleveland and Akron areas. His calling has always been to help his local community and the world around him, a value that was instilled in him during his time at Millbrook.
