CES - Henry '18

A self-proclaimed lover of language and literature, Henry has been honing his writing and analytical skills throughout his Millbrook career. When contemplating his CES, Henry was inspired by his grandfather, who instilled in him an intellectual curiosity at an early age. His very personal demonstration of his love for the written word stemmed from the work of one of his grandfather’s favorite poets, Wendell Berry. Through the framework of a series of windows, Henry wrote his own moving poems exploring those spaces, the emotions that were provoked, and his relationship to those moments. The resulting series of poems were eloquent and thought-provoking.
