Blue-Green Algae in the Hudson River
After a successful summer internship at the Carey Institute of Ecosystem Studies, Corey brought his research back to Millbrook as the basis for his Independent Science Research project and his CES. A resident of Millbrook and avid science student, Corey was inspired to study the growth of blue-green algae plumes in the Hudson River, tracking growth conditions and uncovering possible solutions to mitigate plumes with toxic potential. Corey’s presentation was a culmination of his stellar science career at Millbrook and a real-world research project with potential to better the local community.
