Millbrook Artists Win Big!

Millbrook is proud to have two artists honored among the 100th annual class of National Medalists in the Scholastic Art and Writing Awards. Zoumana Traore ’24 was awarded for his photograph “Self Portrait as El Greco Painting” and Margaux Levine ’23 won for her photograph called “The Truth.” This year, over 100,00 student artists from the U.S. and Canada submitted their work for adjudication by an expert panel of artists and educators tasked with winnowing down over 300,000 pieces to a pool of about 2000 national award winners.

Working out of the Holbrook Arts Center, 24 Millbrook artists won 39 awards in regional judging earlier in the year. All recipients of regional gold key awards advance to national judging and Zoumana and Margaux earned their honors within this elite group.
