Let There Be Lights!

As winter approaches and the daylight hours get short, Millbrook’s recently-refurbished turf field shines brightly in the glow of four new light pylons. Towering 70 feet above the playing surface, each steel pole is topped with an array of 44 LED light fixtures. Each light is rated for 600 watts of output and designed to bathe the turf in an even and natural-looking wash of light.

 

The Mustang girls varsity soccer squad played the first game under the lights and in front of a beautiful sunset, and the boys followed suit the following week. More night games will be scheduled for spring sports, and between now and then, Millbrook's Student Life Office is planning a multitude of ways to get kids out on the turf for some Friday night and weekend fun as weather allows all winter long.
