Friday Night Lights

Millbrook football rolled to a 54-8 victory over Forman School in a traditional Friday night game under the lights. As the final home game of the 2021 campaign, the Mustang faithful turned out in droves to support the team with cheers, chants, songs, and sparklers. It was a made-to-order fall night on the upper fields with plenty of football families on hand to show their support. Grace Ashford kicked off the festivities with a soaring rendition of the Star-Spangled Banner.

Persistence and smart play helped to maintain Mustang momentum as Mac Elliott hit receivers and rushed for 80 yards. Joining Mac, Matt Sardo, Freddy Hamilton, Ethan Kessler, Nolan Cadieux, and Rocco Boland all contributed to the scoring. The O-line provided solid protection and plays unfolded accordingly.

On the defensive side, Millbrook’s line was fast and accurate, stifling any Forman progress until late in the game. True teamwork was in abundance as the entire defensive line swarmed and stopped their opponents.

Covering the hillside, the rowdy Friday night crowd was a true “ninth man,” boosting the team and keeping the energy high on a cold night. The Mustang football seniors were celebrated in style for their final home game.
