Millbrook falls in an exciting match

Coach Powers
There was a ton of really exciting competitive Squash on Saturday against a much improved Westover squad.  Again we were down our #1 player, Capt. Paras Musallam, and again the girls did great playing up a spot.  The only one-sided matches were at 4-6 where Clara Bent and Caroline Hopkins won in straight games, while Nina Hoffman's comeback in the third fell a bit short.  Tracy He played her best Squash of the year to staty in control of her match and close it out in 4.  The other three matxches could not have been closer but alas we could secure one.  Ella Green came back from two gmaes down to force a fifth game, only to fall 10-12 in the fifth - great effort Ella!  Similarly, Capt. Natalie Whitman was in a back and forth affair.  She won the 4th game to force a fifth, but also lost the nailbiter 11-13.  Finally, a quit tired Lilly Gooding, who had to play a Varsity Exhibition which went 5 games right before this, fell in four exceptionally close games. Great effort from all!

The exhibition matches went well as Caitlyn Rodeo, Precious Esielem, Anna Wilson and Sophie Swift all won in straight games.  As alwasy, I am very excited by the improvement of the team!
