First Win

The boys JV hockey team hosted Salisbury.  With a full roster, the Mustangs were better prepared than their previous game.  Millbrook scored first when Nolan Cadieux, in his first game, scored on a play set up by JD Whiting and Auggie Plagemann.  The team extended their lead to two when Simon Thue scored, assisted by Alex Fraser.  Salisbury countered with two of their own goals and the first period ended with a tie score.  The second period saw solid play on both ends, but only Salisbury scored.  Down by one headed into the third, the Mustangs showed determination and made numerous offensive pushes.  Alex Fraser scored off a pass from Gavin Marr to tie the game.  Millbrook took a penalty late in the third.  Fraser scored his second of the gameon the penalty kill.  Millbrook, backed by the solid net play Morgan Ainley, fended off the Salisbury offense in the last moments to secure their first win of the season.
