Fantastic Fall Fest Weekend

Fall Fest weekend is traditionally one of the most anticipated weekends of the year, and this weekend did not disappoint. Saturday’s Halloween Dance was a spooky spectacle inspired by Area 51. Students came in glamorous costumes and were greeted by several life-sized aliens, extra-terrestrial murals, and glowing green lights. The snack bar was full of ghoulish goods including candy, chips, and punch. Parent volunteers turned out in force and transformed the barn into a dance-ready creatively spooky setting – special thanks to Suzanna Hatfield P ’18, ’21 and Margaret Schneible P ’16 for leading these efforts. Students danced the night away in the shadow of alien invaders.

Fall Festival commenced on a rainy Sunday afternoon in the Barn as students from each dorm led a variety of seasonal activities including decorating reusable bags, bobbing for apples, pumpkin carving, and face painting. Live music and a polaroid photo booth rounded out the fun. Students enjoyed a cookout with burgers, hotdogs, wings, and sweet potato fries, and Case and Prum boys helped out by manning the grill. Student-made ceramic bowls were also available for sale, and all proceeds from the festival were donated to the ASPCA.
