Fast times at Suffield Academy's Gordy Glover Invitational
Ideal running conditions and a competitive field of 79 runners representing 8 schools pushed Millbrook's girls to PR times on the Suffield 5k course.
Hard training this week prepared the team for the rolling hills of Suffield's course on Saturday. Co-captain Anna Wilson '21 went out in the top half of the pack and made steady gains throughout, finishing 21st in 23:39, her best time of the season. Next in for Millbrook was IIIrd former Hannah Coon '23, in just under her time at the Canterbury Invitational. More PR's were earned by Tracy He '22 and Anna Metzger '21, while Lauren Jones '21 nursed a sore hamstring but finished with her best time of the season, and Eliza Withers-Clarke had the most exciting finish of the day, passing a number of racers in the final stretch. All in all, a good day of racing!
