Millbook-Salisbury Tri-Meet

Leigh Schmitt
It was a classic early October day in New England – bright sun, cool temps, and lots of fall foliage. The Millbrook harriers had an away tri-meet at Salisbury versus the Salisbury and Gunnery Schools. Both opposing teams had deep and full rosters with sufficiently more runners. Nonetheless, the Mustangs held their own and ran well. In the end, Millbrook School placed third in the three-team meet. All the Millbrook runners fared well individually and personally; the boys are progressing with their pacing and overall level of conditioning. Captain Charlie Weisberg had a strong outing – and a gutsy kick – and notched second place overall in the field of 62 total runners. The five Millbrook runners who scored on Saturday were as follows: Charlie Weisberg (2nd); Campbell Thomas (10th); Peter Lyon (15th); Forrest Schmitt (17th); and Liam Kennelly (19th). Millbrook hosts a JV Invitational at home on Wednesday, October 9th, versus Indian Mountain School and Rumsey Hall.
