back on track

The boys traveled to New Milford Saturday for a game with Canterbury, intent on ending our two-game losing streak. The hot day and dusty field did not deter the Mustangs. We started well, opening the scoring in the 17th minute when Stark scored the eventual winner, on a superb ball from Mohammed. We kept up pressure, controlled play and scored two more before halftime. The second half was no different. Ferreira struck in the second minute and Mohammed in the fourth to put the game out of reach. Every member of the team played, each acquitted himself well. Standouts this afternoon included Jones, who was ferocious in the midfield and Procter, who was awarded the game card. Rayman played very well up top and Morris filled in well in the back. Stowe earned the shut-out, making several important saves to hold off the Saints. It was a very satisfying afternoon for the Mustangs.
