The boys played a powerful Hotchkiss squad Wednesday afternoon and came up short 1 – 3. Despite the score, the Mustangs played a great game. We held the fast and talented Bearcats in check for long periods of time. Their first score was a ping pong affair; the second an unstoppable display of shooting accuracy. Still, we were only down by two at the half. We came out after the break energetically and continue to press. Superb play by the Hotchkiss keeper stoned Mohammed on several occasions. Millbrook spoiled the shut-out with a goal of our own in the 20th minute and battled to the final whistle. Roberts joined Southwick as the bulwark of our back line, clogging up the middle and organizing the rest of the defense. Other standouts included forwards Stark and Mogul. Game captains Domber and King also turned in fine performances. Stowe played his first game in net, turning away several sure goals.
