Mustangs of the Week - January 8, 2018

Boys Varsity Basketball, Jayden Reaves '19
In a week that saw Millbrook suffer two close losses to Hotchkiss and Kingswood-Oxford, Jayden stepped up to have his most consistent and aggressive week of the season yet. Jayden averaged 13 points, 3 assists, and 2 rebounds for the week. More important than statistics, Jayden continued to develop as a leader in the program. We look forward to seeing Jayden continue to play aggressively and confidently moving forward this season.

Girls Varsity Hockey, Kerry Carr '18
Kerry had a strong week of play, maintaining impressive effort and work ethic throughout our first few days back on campus and a long road trip to NH. Her selflessness and leadership are tremendous assets to the group and continue to buoy her teammates. Her versatility and willingness to play wherever she is asked to play, along with her ability to play effectively on both the power play and penalty kill, have served the team extremely well. Kerry is a model of hard work and positivity, and we are lucky to have her on our team!

Girls Varsity Squash, Lizzie Carter '18
Lizzie gutted out a tough four-game match after dropping the first game to secure a big 4-3 win last week. She showed grit and poise under pressure. Well done, Lizzie!

Girls Varsity Basketball, Suwaibatu Mohammed '19
For working hard to get better every day, making an impact on the court, and being intentional about making progress as a basketball player, Suwaibatu has earned Mustang of the Week. Her speed and intensity are unmatched, and we look forward to seeing her grow more throughout the season.

Boys Junior Varsity Squash, Will Pinkerton '19
Will has not only earned Mustang of the Week, but has also been named team captain for his exceptional attitude and dedication to the sport. He is a leader on the team both in skill and in spirit. Well done, Will!
Girls Junior Varsity Hockey, Gabby Kirkian '20
Gabby faced dozens of shots during Saturday's game, and she played incredibly hard and made several marquee saves. Her strength and consistency in the defensive end kept us in the game. Well done, Gabby!

Girls Junior Varsity Basketball, Cherry Zhang '18
Cherry has made huge improvements since the start of the season. She was excellent on defense in the second half, made her first shot of the season, and got some great rebounds down low. She has been super responsive to coaching, and we are excited to see her continue to grow as the season progresses!

Girls Junior Varsity Squash, Jackie Crowley '20
Jackie has been giving it her all this season. She is ready to go at practice, playing hard all of the time, and had a great win in her match this past Saturday beating her opponent in 3 straight games. Go, Jackie!
