Mustangs of the Week - November 13, 2017

Girls Cross Country, Kerry Carr '18
Kerry brought her four-year cross country season to a bittersweet end on Saturday with a strong showing in the New England championship, despite considerable shin pain. Kerry’s work ethic, commitment, and heart rallied her teammates time after time this season. She has been an exceptionally effective captain, together with Lillie Marcos, and she has made an indelible mark on Millbrook’s cross country program. We are so proud of her, and we thank her!

Football, Jordan Auerbach '18, Carter Begel '18, Joe Rotarius '18, Jake Talhami '18
These four talented men formed the core of this year’s Mustang football team. Their determination, skill, leadership, and grit pushed the Mustangs into being placed number two in the N8 league. In their valiant battle with Pomfret last Saturday, these men led the Mustangs in the fight. Even though Jordan was on the sideline with a broken foot, his spirit supported the players on the field during games, and he attended each practice throughout the season. The other three men also gave consistent effort throughout the season. The coaches are honored to have worked with them, and they will be missed in future seasons, but will always be Mustangs!

Varsity Field Hockey, Ellie Muckstadt '18
Ellie ended her senior season on a great note. Her hustle and game sense were turned up a notch, and it was evident in our recent games. Her willingness to play whatever position was asked of her was greatly appreciated, and allowed the on-field unit to stay consistent and goal-hungry. She began to find her voice towards the end of the season, and it was awesome for the team to hear her. Well done, Ellie!

Boys Junior Varsity Soccer, Sally Gallop '18
Sally was an outstanding team manager this season! Thank you for everything!
