Over $5,000 Raised at Relay for Life Event
Millbrook students and faculty participated in our annual Relay for Life event and raised over $5,000 for cancer research this past Saturday.
Over 170 people walked, listened to music and speeches, and enjoyed snacks throughout the three-hour event.
“There is about 10 hours of behind-the-scenes work and planning that goes into this event,” said Isabella Buccellati ’16. “It’s always rewarding to see everyone come together for the cause.”
While the evening was somber at times as students and faculty mourned lost loved ones and shared stories about their experiences with cancer, it was also comforting as students and faculty united to support each other. Fun activities, entertainment, and food were also planned, including musical performances and a popular waffle station where over 50 waffles were enjoyed.
We are proud to be able to come together, support each other, and give back to an important cause. Congratulations to all who planned and participated on another successful Relay for Life event.
