Mid-Pack at the KIT

The Mustangs traveled to Farmington to partake in the Kingswood-Oxford Invitational Tournament. This year there were 28 teams. In the team score competition in which 4 of the 5 scores were counted, Millbrook finished T15. There was a new team scoring event this year that was the Low Gross Score for the team against the field, otherwise known as best ball. Due tot he consistency, depth, and the fact that this team did not rely on one or two low scores in matches, the Mustangs finished ahead of a number of larger schools. The boys finished T16 in that event. Individually, the team was led once again by Casey who carded a 78 on the par 71 track. This put him in a tie for 21st. Andrew Moawad and Gus Lee both posted +11, 82, on their way to tying for 50th in the 140 golfer field. Michael Rutledge was T72 at 84. Michael Contino came in one behind Rutledge, 85, putting him a tie for 85. A special thanks and acknowledgement to Rutledge, Contino, and Berninger for the terrific season and finishing their competition golf careers.......maybe.
