Being Greener for Earth Week

Stewardship of the natural world is one of Millbrook’s core values, and while "being green" informs our daily routines, it is only right that we kick up our programming a bit in April. Instead of celebrating Earth Day as a single opportunity to educate, we planned a full week of programming that culminated in our annual roadside cleanup. Led by Leigh Schmitt and the Environmental Council, there were opportunities each day this week to celebrate environmental icons, interact with spaces on our campus that foster stewardship, and get our hands dirty beautifying local roads. Each of these initiatives was a thoughtful and intentional way for community members to contribute and be inspired to do more.
