Recruiting at Google
Joe attended the University of New Haven in Connecticut on a basketball scholarship before transferring to Rowan University in New Jersey. He worked through several technological companies in various roles after graduating before Google decided his background made him an attractive candidate. Joe works there now in learning and development to help build out the training program for new recruiters. Joe spent his first several years staffing Google's hardware space with electrical and mechanical engineers, initially recruiting people with years of experience from large tech companies like Apple, Samsung, and Sony. As the hardware division matured, he began to focus on diversifying the talent pool and hiring those with a broader profile that may not have as much experience. Joe is proud of Google's transparency about their demographic makeup, and he drives the ultimate goal of their employee population matching their user base, as their products are used by the entire world.CLICK HERE TO DOWNLOAD THE COMPLETE ARTICLE ABOUT JOE THAT WAS PUBLISHED IN THE SPRING 2018 MILLBROOK MAGAZINE.
