Watch our newborn Black-and-white Ruffed Lemurs LIVE in their nest boxes in our Tropical Building! Mom Maki had two babies on April 24th. This is the second year in row Maki and Bombo have had babies. Billy was born to them last spring.

Black-and-white White Ruffed Lemurs are one of ten endangered species at the Trevor Zoo. In the wild there may be as few as 1,000 Black-and-white Ruffed Lemurs remaining.

The Trevor Zoo, a member of the AZA since 1989, is the only zoo in the world located at a high school. About 70 members of the student body care for the animals on a daily basis—more than 180 animals from 80 species, ten of which are endangered. It’s a one of a kind living-laboratory that provides incredible responsibility and rewards students with a learning experience unlike any other.
