Nearly 80% of the students take an art course each semester, from offerings such as dance choreography, beginning and advanced drawing and painting, ceramics, and photography to Music Appreciation and Aesthetics/Art History. In addition, performances abound. The art department presents two plays each year – a dramatic production in the fall and a musical in the spring. Students also perform in “Arts Nights”, which are evenings of dance, music, and acting. Regular student and faculty exhibits, together with visits from noted artists from outside our school community, round out this rich and stimulating program. The Holbrook Arts Center provides our talented art department faculty and students with a truly extraordinary space in which to work. And that Holbrook is located at the heart of Millbrook’s campus is evidence of the school’s commitment to the arts as a “full partner” in our overall program.
