HOW TO APPLY

1 Request Information
If you are a student interested in learning more about Millbrook, please complete our online inquiry form, email the admission office, or phone us (845-677-8261 x138) to request information.
 
2 Schedule a Visit
Contact the admission office to schedule a campus visit which lasts about two hours and includes a student-led tour and an interview with a member of our admission staff. Appointments are available:
Mon., Tue., Thur. and Fri., 8:30 AM - 2:15 PM
Wed. and Sat., 8:15 AM - 11:15 AM
 
3 Take the SSAT
Register to take the SSAT (Secondary School Admission Test) through the SSAT website or by phone (609-683-4440). Millbrook’s SSAT code is 5092. Millbrook also accepts the ISEE (Independent School Entrance Exam) and the PSAT and SAT (the latter for students applying for grades 11 and 12). All students, for whom English is not their first language, should also take the TOEFL (Test of English as a Foreign Language) Visit the ETS website for more information; Millbrook’s TOEFL code is 1000.

4 Complete & Submit the Application
Complete our online application or download, print, and submit the application to the admission office by January 31st along with the $50 application fee ($100 for international students) and a copy of a graded essay which you wrote for an English or history course. If you need a hard copy of the application, contact the admission office and we will be glad to mail you one. We also accept the The Association of Boarding Schools Common Application and the SSAT Common Application.

5 Complete Other Admission Forms
Download and print the four required supporting forms on the right side of this page and distribute them to the appropriate persons with a stamped envelope addressed to: Admission Office, Millbrook School, 131 Millbrook School Road, Millbrook, NY 12545. Ask that these forms be returned directly to Millbrook School by January 31.

6 Complete Financial Aid Application
If you are applying for financial aid, please notify the admission office so that we will be sure to send you information about that process in early December. You can learn more about Millbrook’s financial aid program on our financial aid page. Completion of the Parents’ Financial Statement and submission of current tax information are required. Financial aid applications are due by January 31.

7 Notifications
To be considered for admission for a decision on March 10th (the common notification date for boarding schools), all components of the application must be received by January 31. We will notify you when your application is complete. Decision letters will be mailed on March 10, and we ask that families let us know of their intention to enroll by April 10. Admitted students will have the opportunity to return to campus for our re-visit program in early April. Millbrook will accept applications on a rolling basis throughout the spring, subject to availability of space.
