Head Coach: Terry Cox

Millbrook ran a very successful football program until 1978 and brought it back in the fall of 2016.

After study and discussion, eight-player football has emerged. For Millbrook, this will be a viable, long-term alternative to the game in its traditional form, and a return to the roots of the sport at independent schools.

Eight-player football offers the important lessons of leadership, sportsmanship, toughness, and teamwork inherent in eleven-player football but differs slightly in its formations and strategy, allowing for more spectacular plays and running/throwing lanes. The rules remain the same, but with fewer players on the field and slightly smaller boundaries, this game is more accessible to all players, regardless of experience.

Millbrook's football coaches have 25+ years of playing and coaching experience between them and are always looking for student-athletes that want to have fun playing the best sport on earth all while pushing themselves to become the best version of themselves.

Head Coach: Terry Cox

Bio
Terry has been involved with football since childhood, and played at the collegiate level for St. Lawrence University. During his time at St. Lawrence, Terry was a decorated three-sport student-athlete, playing football, lacrosse, and track and field. He was named All-League and All-Conference defensive player, and also earned the school's 2010 Spirit Award, as well as Alumni Association Honors. Terry also earned his masters degree at St. Lawrence University, and teaches Environmental Science at Millbrook.

Bio
Colin graduated from Williams College, where he was a four-year member of the football team and played as a receiver. Colin started playing football in the fifth grade, and was a decorated, All-County, two-sport captain in high school, playing varsity football and basketball. Colin coaches both football and junior varisty lacrosse at Millbrook, and also teaches mathematics.

Bio
Jeff has had a lifelong passion for athletics, especially for football. In high school he played fullback and linebacker for the 1977 Buffalo Grove High School (Illinois) football team that went undefeated and unscored upon for the entire season. He played recreational football in college, as well as recreational hockey. In high school, he developed his passion for science in addition to sports. He teaches Physics and Advanced Physics at Millbrook, and he holds a Doctor of Philosophy degree in Physical Chemistry from the University of Illinois (at Urbana-Champaign) and a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry from Michigan Technological University.
