Trevor Zoo Saves, Releases Crow

Jonathan Lopez
An injured crow was delivered to the Trevor Zoo by Verbank resident, Lee Liebolt in June 2011 and released in August after successful rehabilitation.
Liebolt, a lover of wildlife, was concerned about the crow when he found him motionless in the middle of a road. He propitiously named the crow, "Lucky."

Upon examination at the zoo, it was apparent that Lucky had a badly broken left leg; at the time it was unclear how well the crow would recover. For two months, Lucky received physical therapy and the tender loving care from Trevor Zoo staff that was necessary for him to heal and regain use of his left leg.

Earlier this month Lucky was released back at the Liebolt estate where he gallantly flew off and returned to his life in the wild.
