New Veterinarian Fellow at Trevor Zoo

Trevor Zoo welcomes Jeremy Sabatini, D.V.M. as the second recipient of the William W. Reese Fellowship. This fellowship is awarded annually to a first or second year veterinarian who explores the aspects of zoo and wildlife veterinary medicine and assists in monitoring the health of the zoo’s animals in our unique high school setting.

William Reese was a member of the Millbrook class of 1959 and brother to three Millbrook graduates, John ’61, George ’66, and Alex ’71. He served Millbrook as one time president of the Alumni Association and served on the board of trustees from 1972-1999. In addition to the zoo fellowship, the squash courts in the Mills Athletic Center bear his name.

Dr. Sabitini is a 1998 graduate of Cornell University and a 2002 graduate of Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine. He currently works at the Rye Harrison Veterinary Hospital in Rye, New York. His special area of interest is reptiles. He will be spending one day each week at the zoo and anyone who is interested in shadowing him on his zoo rounds during a free period is encouraged to do so. Contact the zoo staff for details.
