Millbrook vs. Proctor

The girls got to work early on the second day of the Dexter Southfield tournament with a puck drop at 8am against a tough Proctor Academy team. After a scoreless first ten minutes, defenseman Julia Zangre broke the ice late in the first period. Zangre was on the top of the point for the powerplay filling in for the injured Alexis Strykowski. Reading the play she found the puck in the mid-slot and fired it home. Not long after Jeannie Wallner scored on a rebound created off of the rush. The scoring was capped off by a gritty goal from a the line of Sarah Muller, Margaret Boeschenstein, and Abigail Ainley. After battling for the puck in the corner Sarah and Margaret were able to find Abigail in the slot and she made no mistake with it. Millbrook wins 3-0. Carina Mancini finishes with a shutout.
