Millbrook Defeats Sacred Heart After a Thrilling 4th Quarter Comeback

Millbrook put together it's most complete game of basketball to date and finished the 1st semester on a high note with Sunday's 53-47 victory over Sacred Heart on Sunday. The Mustangs sprinted back defensively consistently, defended with fervor, and rebounding with an intensity that would leave you shocked that this was the team's 4th game in 3 days following exams. Despite this consistency of effort and attitude, the Mustangs found themself down 11 points going into the 4th quarter. After watching two banked three-pointers and multiple contested jump shots enter the hoop after strong defensive possessions, one could have thought that it was not the Mustangs day. Luckily, the team continued to believe and trust their defense. What followed was as complete of a quarter as the Mustangs have played in the last 2 years. A total team effort, all five players on the court defended, rebounded, and ran in transition with enthusiasm, while a jubilant bench mob cheered ecstatically from the sideline. Millbrook finished the tournament and first semester on a high note and are looking forward to continuing to improve every day during the second semester.
