Millbrook wins 3 quarters and Falls to KUA

In the Mustangs 3rd game in 24 hours, the squad got off to a hot start, leading 11-6 after the first quarter. The second quarter was a challenging one for the Mustangs as KUA imparted their will on the game dominating in all facets and leaving the score 32-17 heading into the half. The Mustangs did not hang their heads, competed hard until the final buzzer, and won the next two quarters. Millbrook played three strong quarters vs. a well-coached and opportunistic KUA team. The Mustangs continue to come together as a group and are building a foundation for an exciting second semester. 

• Khya Jenkins led the Mustangs with a 12 point and 10 rebound double-double
• Kate Peek added 9 points, 6 assists, and 5 steals
• Kimora Jenkins added 13 points, 6 rebounds, 2 assists and a steal
• Evelynn Najork scored 5 points on 2-3 shooting, 4 rebounds, 3 assists, and a steal
• Lili Westerhuis played an excellent game finishing with 10 rebounds, two steals, and full-time heart + hustle
