2nd Place Finish at Canterbury Invitational

The Millbrook School Boys' Cross-Country team fared well and displayed a strong team effort in their first meet of the season at the Canterbury Invitational in Milford, Connecticut.  The Boys Division II race featured a total of 19 different teams and a grand total of 128 total runners.  As a team, Millbrook took second place overall with 135 points, behind host Canterbury (first, 89 points) and ahead of Dexter Southfield (third, 149 points).  Fourth former Charlie Weisberg had a notably strong finish and was the first Mustang to cross the line in 18:33 - and just shy of a top ten finish (11th place).  Sixth former Mateo Winogrand was right on his heels (18:40, 14th place), and steady race results rounded out the top 5 runners (and scorers) from Millbrook.  Third former Cam Abel came in 28th (19:33), classmate Hugh McLaughlin placed 32nd (19:45), and sixth former Jayden Reaves took 50th place (20:22).  Overall, the entire team ran well, and should be proud of their strong performance in their first outing of the season, and particularly with the backdrop of a first meet with a deep field of runners.  Next week, the Boys' Cross-Country team has its home opener versus The Gunnery on Wednesday.
