Great day for running at Millbrook vs. Westover!
Millbrook giirls cross country turned in much improved performances on our home course.
Millbrook raced Westover School on a beautiful, breezy fall Saturday. Westover was coming off their Division II victory at the Canterbury Invitational last weekend, so we knew they would push us. By the finish, Westover came in 1-3 before Dorothy Walker broke up the pack with a 4th place finish in 24:47, nearly one and a half minutes faster than her time on our course Wednesday. Elizabeth Finch finished 6th in 26:25, and Lillie Marcos was close behind in 26:40, taking 8th place.
Marcos and Finch pushed each other for most of the race, which brought them significantly improved times over last Wednesday. After another pack of four Westover runners, Lilla Powers and Raphaella Pope finished in 13th and 14th places respectively, Powers was much faster than Wednesday, and Pope back with us in her first race of the season. Pam Nguyen rounded out Millbrook's squad with a strong finish in her first race at home. Congratulations to Westover on their win. We invite all Mustang fans to watch us at home against Berkshire on Wednesday!
