That's how you do it!

Coach Bergstedt
Canterbury had some real offensive threats, but the Millbrook team's competitiveness took over early on and got stronger throughout the match.  This was a game the team wanted to win, and their will prevailed with athletic talent, mental toughness, and hard work.
Millbrook started the game on the front foot and kept the ball mostly on the Canterbury end of the field. However, at the 14th minute and against the run of play, Canterbury’s #2, scored a great goal off a long-range shot to open up the scoring. Connor Bressette brought the Mustangs level only a minute later after being fouled in the box and converting the PK. The back four played incredible for the rest of the half, not only by winning the ball consistently as Canterbury tried to play out of their end but also in their ability to bring the ball forward and give us numbers up in the attack. The Mustangs took the lead in the second half when at the 47th minute, Colby Martins took the ball the length of the field on a great run from the right back position and laid the ball off to Justinas Norkus who put the ball in the back of the net on a shot from inside the box. (Coach Thom, I hope you saw that one). Then, at the 67th minute, Pearson Latse served in a perfect cross from a corner kick that Greg Levin netted with a great goal off a header. Charlie DiPaolo was also back in goal for us today and made some great saves throughout the match.

From start to finish the team played strong and with heart. This was a fun game, a great win, and one to remember for a long time, mostly because every single member of the team stepped it up a notch.
