Advanced Art Students Present Works in Holbrook Made Exhibition

Millbrook hosted a reception for our annual Holbrook Made exhibition in the Warner Gallery yesterday evening. Holbrook Made showcases work by advanced art students in painting, drawing, photography, and ceramics.

"The work students made this year is of the highest quality," said Arts Department Chair Sarah MacWright. "All year they have been working on their technical skills in classes, and for Holbrook Made they apply these skills to craft work that tells a story."

To tell their story, the students partnered each piece of art with a description that explains the process and intention in their piece. This year's gallery included drawings, multi-media artworks, paintings, ceramics, and various types of photography.

"Holbrook Made is a marvelous example of how talented, creative and innovative our students are. As teachers, we are extraordinarily proud of the depth and sophistication of our student work. This exhibit speaks for itself," said Mr. Hardy.

The exhibition will remain open through June 13th, and you can find photos of displayed artwork in our online photo gallery.
