Millbrook Hosts Some of World's Best Squash Players for Exhibition

We were thrilled to welcome professional squash players Olivia Blatchford, Haley Mendez, Nathan Lake, and Alan Clyne to the Mills Athletic Center on Friday, January 12th.

Olivia Blatchford is currently ranked #1 in the nation and #13 in the world, and after answering questions and talking with Millbrook students, faculty, and staff with her fellow guests, she competed against Haley Mendez, who is a former Harvard stand-out, three-time collegiate champion, and ranked #50 in the world.

Following the female match, Nathan Lake, who is ranked #56 in the world played against Scottland's number one ranked player and ranked 28 in the world, Alan Clyne.

Beyond being able to ask questions of the professionals and watch them compete, the Mustangs were also able to get on the court with the pros.

"We could not have been more thrilled to welcome these professional athletes. It is our goal to inspire our teams to aim high and to be the best they can be through the example of some of the best playeras in the world," said Head Varsity Boys Squash Coach Greg Reiss.

Millbrook's squash program continues to thrive, with boy the girls and boys varsity squash teams competing in New England's last season

"We're grateful to Olivia, Haley, Nathan, and Alan. We look forward to following their continued success, as well as using our time with them as motivation as we strive to continue to bring our best to the courts for the remainder of the season," said Coach Reiss.
