Fantastic Fall Athletic Season for the Mustangs

The Mustangs have had an outstanding fall athletic season, with multiple wins, championship bids, and individual athletic honors.

Girls varsity soccer had a fantastic season, finishing with an overall record of 8-4-3,which places them second in WWNEPSSA Class C league. Six of their eight wins were shutouts, keeping Berkshire, Gunnery, Kent, King School, Cheshire Academy, and Miss Hall’s from getting onto the scoreboard. While the Mustang defense was outstanding in keeping opposing teams off the scoreboard, they were also a consistent offensive force, racking up over 39 goal points this season.

Boys varsity soccer also had a strong season, and after defeating Green Farms Academy and Concord Academy, they went on to play Hebron in the NEPSAC Class C Championship. The 6th seeded Mustangs fought hard, but ultimately could not dethrone the defending Class C champions. Nevertheless, we are still so proud to have them finish the season as the No. 2 team in Western New England.

In just its second year, Millbrook’s 8-man football team had an outstanding season. Finishing second in the league, they defeated Gunnery and Forman, and scored a total of 226 points throughout the season.

It was also a winning season for boys cross country, who opened the season by taking first place at the Canterbury Invitational, and went on to earn victory against multiple teams, including Gunnery, Salisbury, Canterbury, South Kent, and Forman.

The Mustangs are now turning their focus to the winter athletic season, and we look forward to following their success throughout the coming months. Be sure to check out Millbrook’s online photo gallery for photos and follow @Millbrkmustangs on Twitter for Mustang updates.
