Winning Week for the Mustangs

The Mustangs had a winning week, earning multiple victories on Saturday, 10/28, and Wendesday, 11/1.

Girls varsity soccer notched their fifth shutout of the season on Wednesday, defeating Miss Hall’s at home with a final score of 3-1. The team has had a strong season, also shutting out The Gunnery, Kent, King School, and Chesire Academy. Wednesday’s win brings their over record to 6-3-3.

Boys varsity soccer defeated Trinity-Pawling on Saturday, with a final score of 4-1. Ousseni Bouda ’19 scored all four Mustang goals, and his first three were netted in the first five minutes of the game.

Boys and girls cross country were also victorious, with the boys defeating The Gunnery, South Kent, and Canterbury at Berkshire on Saturday, and the girls winning the four-school invitational hosted by Kingswood-Oxford on Wednesday. Standouts included Kazuki Unayama ’18 who finished in first place, and Mateo Winogrand ’19 who finished in third place for the boys. Kerry Carr ’18, Anna Wilson ‘21, and Ella Horn ’18 also showed determination and strategy, as they maintained a fast pace, and worked together to push each other throughout the race.

Victory was also earned by girls varsity field hockey, who defeated St. Luke’s with a final score of 3-1. The Mustangs scored in the first two minutes of the game; and while St. Luke's had speed up the sidelines, Millbrook stepped hard to intercept passes, played solid and clean defense, and kept consistent offensive pressure to secure the win.

The Mustangs have played with conquest and character all season, and we look forward to cheering them on as they finish strong. Visit our online photo gallery for images of our teams.
