Millbrook Battles Pomfret; Falls to 2-3

The Mustangs lost a hard fought battle to Pomfret on Saturday, October 28.
Millbrook Football crossed the state of Connecticut on Saturday to battle Pomfret (5-0). After giving up an early score, Millbrook's stout run defense stopped the Griffins' offense in their tracks, holding them to only one touchdown in the second half. The Mustangs also scored a safety on a bad snap near Pomfret's endzone.

Millbrook moved the football quite well both on the ground and in the air but couldn't quite produce the points needed for the victory. Several drives were stalled with penalties, fumbles, or interceptions. Joe Rotarius '18 scored a second half touchdown on a deep pass to put the Mustangs within 4. Despite forcing a fumble to take over possession in the fourth, the Mustangs were unable to score the ball with time winding down.

Millbrook looks forward to hosting Gunnery on November 4 and playing for a second place finish to the regular season.
