Loss in OT

In one of the best games of the season, Millbrook, unfortunately, fell to Rye Country Day four minutes into overtime.

Though Rye opened the game with a goal in the first two minutes of play, Millbrook confidently answered back and led the rest of the game 3-1. Muckstadt '18, Gotthelf '19, and Crowley '20 scored for Millbrook, and the defensive unit was anchored by Liang '18 in goal, who had three saves. Millbrook found connections all over the field, which allowed them to control the flow of the game; the team was vocal, energetic, and everyone played at a high level for the full sixty minutes, which has been a missing piece to their season thus far. To be fair, Rye capitalized on key break-aways to goal and tied the game up in the final three minutes. In overtime, Millbrook had a great opportunity to end the game on an offensive penalty corner, but the shot from Croghan '18 went just wide of far post. Shortly thereafter, Rye scored to end the game, 4-3

Millbrook takes on Sacred Heart this Saturday, at home, at 3:30 pm.
