Strong Kent team outpaces Millbrook girls
Glorious though hot running day at Macedonia State Park yielded strong finishes from Carr and Horn, and some breakthrough races for our less experienced runners.
Despite some powerful perrormances on the hills and at the finish, Millbrook girls were outmatched by Kent Saturday, 19 - 40. Kerry Carr was back in strong form, staying with Kent's #2 and 3 runners, and taking foutrh in the race. Teammate Ella Horn surged to even with Carr in the last mile and finished just behind her in fifth. Anna Wilson fell back some, but showed her speed at the finish, taking 8th place overall. Cindy He looked particularly strong and determined on the hills, cementing a 15th place finish. Meanwhile, Claire Carty and Dorothy Walker ran together and pushed one another the entire race, finishing in 20th and 21st overall. The entire team cheered Sam Besca down the final stretch
