Thriller in Wray Gymnaisum

Long time fan, first time contributor
Millbrook School had only played in one five set match in school history before this afternoon, in which they suffered a devastating loss. Today, the team was able to record a tough five-set win against a solid Rumsey Hall squad. The first two sets were dominated by Millbrook thanks to some of the best serve receive and serving the team has had all year. Rumsey battled back to win the next two games with some strong serving runs of their own. Throughout the first four sets, many points lasted 30-40 seconds causing an incredibly tense environment for the fans and players. It was a total team effort as 17 players saw the court and contributed to the strong passing performance throughout the match. Millbrook handled the pressure of the fifth set thanks to the serving runs of Emily Le and Simone Yañez and got out to an early 10-4 lead. Rumsey battled back to make it close and after a few intense points, but the Mustangs eventually pulled away to win 15-12. Millbrook improves to 3-0 on the season.

Final Score: (25-16, 25-18, 18-25, 18-25, 15-12)
