Millbrook Field Hockey takes season opener

Millbrook Varsity Field Hockey opened the 17-18 season against Green Farms Academy in Westport CT. Despite the heat and an early goal by Green Farms, the team maintained their composure, and Muckstadt ’18 quickly answered back with a goal. Tied 1-1 going into the second half, Millbrook went on to score four more goals – with Robinson ‘19, Gotthelf ’19, Crowley ’20, and Muckstadt ’18 again, all finding the back of the net. New-comer Caroline Hopkins ’21 scored her first goal of her Millbrook career, helping the Mustangs close the deal in a 6-2 victory.  Veterans Quartararo ’18, Croghan ’18, and Koslowski ’18 anchored the mid and backfield, and first-year keeper Olivia Charles ’21 had three saves. Millbrook’s next game is on Wednesday against Hotchkiss.
